Neon Drift Riders
★★★★☆ 4.3
Neon Drift Riders isn't chasing realism. It's chasing the feeling of holding a drift a beat longer than you should and coming out ahead. Steering is a simple tilt or touch, and the whole game bends around keeping your slides linked for a boost meter that never stops tempting you.
The tracks are short and readable, which suits mobile perfectly. You'll learn a circuit in three laps and then spend twenty trying to shave a second off. The soundtrack pulses along nicely and there's a good chunk of cars to unlock through play.
It runs smooth even on older phones, and the ghost-race mode against your own best lap is quietly addictive.
